For Those Who Wait

The Disease of Modern Society - Impatience!

Not many like to wait. We want it as quickly as possible in the here and the now. That is the inherent danger that lurks in the world around us. From drive-thru fast-foods to self help services online regarding anything you might imagine.

Sadly, mankind has become lazy, self-sufficient and indulgent. Waiting is not an option anymore, quick service is a demand

The end result: No rest! No peace!

BUT WHAT DOES GOD SAY?!

Isaiah 40:31

But those who wait on the Lord

Shall renew their strength;

They shall mount up with wings like eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint.

Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

SO WHAT TO DO BUSY MAN/WOMAN

· Firstly, Stop!

· Secondly, Pray!

· Thirdly, Act! - even waiting on God is not sitting and doing nothing! Move in faith once the peace of God has settled!
