GRUDGES ARE UNHOLY CRUTCHES!

BE AWARE!

Where it all started!

Grudges are not something that we are born with or something we pick up and say: "What a beautiful morning to have a grudge". No, they are like crutches! You are not born with them nor do you wake saying: " what a beautiful day to start walking with crutches!" No! Something happened to you! No! You got injured!

In the same way with grudges! You got harmed (spiritually injured) by what someone else has said to you done to you! Sadly that is when people often decide to pick up an offence (they pick up unholy crutches)

But unlike crutches, grudges can never ever help you to overcome! No, they only take you on a downward spiral to destruction!

Word of Wisdom from Pastor Ben Jordaan!

Be careful not to take offence. Once you take offence you will become angry and it will turn into bitterness. The bitterness will cause you to carry a grudge! Protect yourself by maintaining a Godly attitude!

Be careful of picking up ungodly crutches

Ephesians 4:31-32

Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Hear the Warning

Leviticus 19:18

You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbour as yourself: I am the Lord.

Prayer this day:

Lord I forgive (name the person who harmed you) and please forgive me for my attitude and actions! I do not want to carry any unforgiveness. bitterness and anger in my heart. Lift from me the disappointment. I through away the offence I picked up. Please, restore to me the peace and joy of my salvation! In Jesus' came, Amen!
