Use The Word of God More Accurately

The example: Apollos

Acts 18:24-28

 Now a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man and mighty in the Scriptures, came to Ephesus.  This man had been instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in spirit, he spoke and taught accurately the things of the Lord, though he knew only the baptism of John.  So he began to speak boldly in the synagogue. When Aquila and Priscilla heard him, they took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.  And when he desired to cross to Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him; and when he arrived, he greatly helped those who had believed through grace;  for he vigorously refuted the Jews publicly, showing from the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.

He needed to be explained how to share The Word of God more accurately

Apollos was an eloquent man and mighty in using The Bible and he was fervent in spirit! Yet, his teaching was still limited (he only knew the baptism of John).

Two woman; Aquila and Priscilla; then took him aside and explained to him the way of God more accurately.

He went away a far more skilled witness for Jesus Christ!

We all can become more skilled witnesses who uses The Word of God more accurately!

As Christians we share the responsibility to witness for Jesus wherever we are and whenever the opportunity arise. None of us can say that our "skilled level in sharing The Gospel of Jesus" is perfected! Therefore we need to remain teachable at all times.

That is why God has given us His Church, His ministers, His Word and His Spirit!

Your Testimony carries great power! Not just for your you but for others as well. The more accurately we can share The Word of God the better!
